Larry Channave 1933-2007
The High Society Jazz Band was founded in 1980 by trumpeter and vocalist Larry Channave. Larry played and lead jazz groups wherever he lived since 1950. After retiring as an executive in the Aerospace industry, he was able to devote more time to his music and to his childhood sweetheart and wife, Renie. He was "Mr. Personality" on stage as evidenced by the mutual admiration between him and the audience. He is missed by his many loyal jazz fans, fellow musicians, and his family.
